There are a variety of simple tasks that you undertake to combat depression and anxiety.

Below is a list of daily actions that can be done to make life easier to live.

  1. Create focus
    • Make a list every evening or first thing in the morning to what you want to accomplish that day.
    • Take a moment before you walk out of the door and visualize how the day will go. Ponder on the problems that might arise and you can overcome them.
  2. Stay Busy
    • Do not allow yourself to much downtown to think negative thoughts
    • Make sure you give yourself rest breaks but keep them brief
  3. Get Plenty of Rest
    • Depression and anxiety can cause insomnia in individuals so schedule your rest time
    • Keep to your sleep schedule, because it is shown to be as important to the human brain as nourishment and exercise.
    • Create a sleep journal and keep track of how much you sleep and the quality of your rest. Ask you partner to tell you if they see any changes in the way you sleep. Sometimes depression and lack of energy can be a result of sleep apnea.
  4. Read positive messages
    • Start your day and end your night reading positive books or messages
    • This will begin and end your day in a positive manner giving your brain positive nourishment.
    • At the end of each task be happy with what you have accomplished not what you mistakes.
    • When you finished your day, check the number of items you crossed off your list and not the total that are on the list.
